Running the software / Operating System support

Unix

The new code base from which the Unix versions of OCP are build have their own webpage.

MS-DOS

The old software is a native MS-DOS application and should run without problems.

Windows 95, 98, ME

If you have a sound card which is natively supported by ocp and you have installed the DOS drivers for it you can run ocp in a dos box using those drivers. However you can also use the cphost program to bridge between the MS-DOS world ocp lives in and your native Windows sound card driver. Please look at the documentation for details.

Windows XP

You can use VDMSound with Windows XP to run ocp. The documentation has the details. The VESA 2.0 graphic modes should be disabled in the configuration. Please set uselfb=no or use this optimized cp.ini. Currently VDMSound does not run stable with Win2000.

other Operating Systems

If your operating system is supported by DOSBox you are able to run ocp in a dosbox. The VESA 2.0 graphic modes should be disabled in the configuration. Please set uselfb=no or use this optimized cp.ini.
